It’s been a little while since I last wrote. There has been a lot going on lately since arriving back in Canada. I have been getting ready for the Sooke Fine Art Show (which is currently happening) as well as making work for my upcoming installation in Vancouver this fall (not done yet, but getting there) called SUPERPOD. I am also very grateful to Don of the Bonnie McCromb Kreye Residency for the opportunity to spend August in the studio while it is between residency seasons. I absolutely cannot wait to be oil painting again!
Have you been to the Sooke Fine Art Show? It is quite an extensive, juried art exhibition of work by artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The fantastic volunteers that help out during the show, transform the SEAPARC Leisure Complex into a lovely gallery space. There are always so many diverse pieces in this show. If you are in the Sooke area I highly recommend going to see it. You can easily spend a few hours looking around. I am pleased to announce that I have two works in the show as well as some small pieces in the exhibition gift shop. This exhibition is currently open and will continue until August 5th.
